Brighton and Sussex Medical School are working with Anglia Ruskin University, the Medical Schools Council and the NHS to provide aspiring medics, in Year 12, the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to submit a competitive application to medical school. The programme is centred around students undertaking a research project that combines scientific literature with insights from people with lived experience of chronic conditions. Alongside completing the project, students also attend four online events and a residential summer school, where they’ll experience undergraduate level teaching, practise key clinical skills, meet doctors, patients and medical students from across the UK and receive 1:1 support with personal statement and interview preparation.
